In Tabuaço, the ancient artisans devote themselves particularly to the construction of pieces and instruments related to the traditional methods of grape harvesting. Wickerwork, tin smith's work and the craft of cooper's and other forms of handicraft such as the constructions of Rabelo boats and the masons who are the ones who construct the walls in schist are still very alive in the region. In spite of the fact that these crafts are some how overstepped what technology is concerned we can still find pieces that have been conserved as an historic testimony.

Others are devoted to produce objects in little proportions for tourist purposes for them to remind or even as a work of art. The Granja do Tedo basket makers weave according to traditional methods with chestnut wicker the chestnut wood baskets for harvesting and diverse utilities. In Guedieiros, there is an artisan, who makes nice baskets with straw rolls stitched with osier twig: called the brezas. In this parish, there are still church decorators who cultivate intensely the art of festivals. In Tabuaço, there is also a tinsmith's.
